HEART OF DALLAS BOWL - JAN 1ST, 2014

  Played at the historic Cotton Bowl on a warm, sunny and breezy day, this was a fun game to kick-off the New Year. With the North Texas campus in Denton a short drive away, fans of the Mean Green far outnumbered their counterparts from UNLV, creating a home-field atmosphere. After scoring a touchdown on an impressive opening drive, UNLV was held in check by the defense of North Texas. Tied 7-7 at halftime, UNT dominated the second half, building a 28-7 lead in route to a comfortable victory. Dallas as host city was a fantastic place to visit and ring in the New Year.
